No special hardware
Uses the TrueDepth front camera already in your iPhone. Nothing extra to buy or set up.
On-device
Every measurement runs on your iPhone. No account and no server.
Private by default
Your camera is used live only to measure — no photos or video are ever saved or uploaded.
Device compatibility
Pupillary Distance runs on iPhone with a TrueDepth front camera, on iOS 16 and newer. That covers iPhone X and every Face ID iPhone since. The app is iPhone-only and is not available on Android. Measurements happen entirely on your device, so no internet connection is required to use it.
